Haiti - FLASH : 12-day Ultimatum to the Head of State and apologies of J-C Moïse...

Wednesday, on a radio of the capital Jean-Charles Moïse, the leader of the opposition party "Pitit Dessalin" gave a 12-day ultimatum to President Moïse, to renounce to the various measures taken by his administration. In particular, he called for a reduction in fuel prices, a halt to the formation of the Permanent Electoral Council (CEP) and the remobilization of the army and not to publish the 2017/2018 budget in the official newspaper "Le Moniteur".

According to Jean-Charles Moïse, if no decision is taken by the Head of State within this period concerning the opposition's demands, the latter affirms, will organize a second demonstration which "will mortgage the political future of the President of the Republic."

On the other hand, former Senator Moïse Jean-Charles, apologized in the press "[...] We apologize to the Canadian Embassy [stone-throwing victim], owners of burned or damaged vehicles and the owners of the enterprises victims [...]" claiming that the protesters do not intend to be violent, attributing responsibility to the aggressive interventions of the police and the stubbornness of the Head of State who refuses to listen to the voice of the people.
