Haiti - Venezuela : President Moïse met with President Maduro 28/11/2017 08:06:05 Then President Moïse and his delegation went to the Miraflores Palace in Caracas, where he met with his Venezuelan counterpart Nicolás Maduro to strengthen bilateral cooperation. The two Heads of State have fully reviewed the work plan and cooperation between Haiti, Venezuela and PetroCaribe. At the end of this meeting, the two Presidents signed two agreements on agricultural cooperation and trade "We have been in permanent partnership since the beginning of our history and we thank the people and the Venezuelan President [...]" said President Moïse recalling that the relations between Haiti and Venezuela have a historical basis with Alexandre Pétion who had given his unconditional support to the liberator Simón Bolívar so that since Jacmel, is initiated his expedition against the Spanish colonialism. He also stressed that the two governments are working on a mutually beneficial cooperation project, saying that Venezuela will help Haiti to meet its growing needs in terms of agricultural development and recovery of electrical, road and hydraulic infrastructure.
