Haiti - Politic : Aristide return soon ? 07/02/2011 09:55:14
The rumors about a imminent return of the former President Jean-Bertrand Aristide circulating with insistence Sunday at Port-au-Prince. However, in a television interview on Telesur, Maryse Narcisse, spokesperson of the former President said "At the moment former President Aristide is in South Africa, ready to return to their country, this can be today, tomorrow or as soon as possible, as he said" The spokeswoman believed that the return of Aristide now depends of Haiti and the South African government "I think that in his statement of January 19, the President Aristide was very clear. He needs a passport but it is also necessary that the two governments [Haiti and South Africa] comes into contact to facilitate his return". Update 2h40pm : "The passport was issued Monday. All formalities have been completed", clarified a haitian official under cover of anonymity to Agence France Presse (AFP).
