Macaya Park : Restoration of ecosystems

In Haiti, we still have very few natural areas that have not been disturbed, including Macaya Park, the largest and most important one whose ecosystems were severely damaged by the passage of Hurricane Matthew. Aware of the importance of this heritage, the entire team of the Botanical Garden of Les Cayes, after a scientific tour conducted last January, givbes itself as mission to mobilize Haitian scientists, academics and nature lovers to become more involved to its restoration. As a result, a scientific exit will be carried out from 25 to 27 February 2018 to help participants understand the challenges of the Park in order to propose solutions for its conservation.
