Jean Rony Philippe, Vice-President of the Departmental Electoral Office (BED) of the Southeast, announced to the population in a press conference that he had tendered his resignation, Thursday, February 10, 2011 to the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP).

The Vice-President of the BED said that he chose to resign voluntarily, following the fraudulent results published by the CEP. Jean Rony has strongly criticized the members of the electoral institution to have no credibility and accept to receive the dictates of the experts from the Organization of American States (OAS).

"My house was burned in the town of Anse à Pitre by supporters of some political parties, a few days after the publication of preliminary results of the elections on November 28. A month later I have not even received a call from the CEP or the Government" deplored Rony Jean Philippe.

The former Vice President of BED asks to the electoral advisers to follow his example. Recall that, Jean Rony Philippe has spent nearly two years in this position.
