Haiti - Social : PAP cancels the benefit concert «Pou medam yo»
The Communal Administration of Port-au-Prince regrets to announce the cancellation of the "Pou medam yo" fundraising concert initially scheduled for 8 March 2018 2018 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-23687-haiti-news-zapping.html

Recall that following the fires that caused considerable damage to the market Hyppolite (Iron Market) https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-23556-haiti-flash-the-iron-market-ravaged-by-a-fire.html and the public market "nan gerit" (Port Market) https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-23596-haiti-flash-the-public-market-nan-gerit-ravaged-by-a-fire.html , the Town Hall had planned to organize a fundraising concert in order to come to the aid of the stricken shopkeepers and at the same time salute the strength, diligence and resilience of the women of the city.

Several musical groups and artists have volunteered to support this noble cause including Rutshelle, Akoustik, Barikad Crew, Carel Pèdre, DJ Bullet, Djakout # 1, GShytt, Harmonik, Kai, Kreyol-la, Mikaben, Roody Roodboy, Ti Moza , Tonymix, Top J Mix, TVice.

Unfortunately the sponsors did not show the same solidarity so the Municipal Administration with its limited financial means, is obliged to cancel this event.

The City Hall apologizes to all those who have already mobilized to provide their time, services and talents for the victims of these two fires. It apologizes particularly to the victims while renewing their pledge of support.
