Haiti - FLASH : Canapé Vert hospital, the Ministry denies the rumor !

Friday, following rumors circulating on social networks concerning the quarantine of the hospital of Canapé-Vert for a case of diphtheria, the Ministry of Public Health and Population in a press note dated March 16, 2018 informs that Marie Greta Roy Clément, the Minister of Public Health has not signed any notes on this subject.
"This information detrimental to all patients attending this hospital as well as staff does not respond to any measure recommended by the Ministry of Public Health in this case.
The Ministry recalls that for infectious diseases, it is necessary to distinguish between probable and confirmed cases.
In both cases, isolation of the patient is recommended to prevent the spread of infection within the care structure and this has been done at the Canapé-Vert hospital."
