Haiti - Petit-Goâve : Two High School Students called to appear in court

Me Alcide Laguerre, the President of the Petit-Goave Bar Association, remains firm on his position and calls for the arrest of all Faustin Soulouque High School students who participated in vandalism acts at the premises of the bâtonnat, of Palace of Justice and Procuratorate of Petit-Goâve https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-23805-haiti-flash-violence-unleashes-in-petit-goave-many-damages.html https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-23731-haiti-petit-goave-reactions-of-the-bar-association-on-vandalism-and-robbery-at-tpi.html

He does not accept the idea that we can not apprehend the students at fault in public institutions and once again asks the central authorities to compensate the Bar office for the many damages.

Moreover, he demands that the high school students be punished by publishing their names and sending this list to the various faculties of the State University of Haiti to prevent them from taking part in the entrance examination.

For its part, the police have formally forbidden high school students to demonstrate on the street with masked face with a hood, scarf or other, specifying that they can demonstrate peacefully but face uncovered.

Note that Petit Goâve's public prosecutor's office transferred the file of the "student breakers" of the Lycée Faustin Soulouque to the examining room.

The investigating judge, Me Fritzner Duclair has already issued two warrants for the appearance of two high school students Faustin Soulouque: Nelson Avril and Wallace Esma who must appear before the investigating office, Monday, March 26 at 10:00 am to respond to the accusations against them following acts of vandalism perpetrated on the premises of the Palace of Justice, the Procuratorate and the Petit Goâve bâtonnat...
