Recall that in the context of the Challenge CFU Tournament recently launched by the Caribbean Football Union (CFU) https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-23916-haiti-football-our-grenadieres-seniors-u20-and-u17-very-busy-in-the-coming-months.html to help the senior women's football team of the Caribbean who have not played since the 2015 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, to be more in shape and to get back to the competition before the 2019 France World Cup qualifiers.

This tournament had to bring together 20 teams from the zone in a quadrangular series and Haiti was to receive one of these Groups at the Sylvio Cator Stadium with the women's national teams from Martinique, the Dominican Republic and the Virgin Islands with matches on 18, 20 and April 22nd.

However, Martinique and the Dominican Republic for various reasons have not confirmed their participation in the tournament, which eventually turns into a double match between Haiti and the team of the Virgin Islands...

Under the direction of Stephan Defour and his assistants Bruny Pierre Richard and Chery Pierre our senior Grenadières have been training for one month in preparation for this tournament which must serve as preparation for the first phase of the Fifa France 2019 World Cup of which Haiti was designated Group B headquarters with Martinique, Jamaica and Guadeloupe from 9 to 13 May.

Wednesday in their first match at Stade Sylvio Cator our formidable grenadières sprayed without difficulty the Virgin Islands [7-0] thanks to the doubles of Phiseline Michel (13' 15') and Batcheba Louis (19' 40') and the goals of Sherly Jeudy (31'), Nerlourdes Nicolas (57') and Roseline Eloissaint (80')
