In his remarks of circumstance, the Minister Fleurant insisted on the heavy task which awaits the new Minister.

For his part, the former Director General of the Ministry of Justice (March 2012-March 2017) and new Minister, promised to implement the roadmap of the Government in the field of Justice and to tackle among others "the plague of prolonged pretrial detention" in the various jurisdictions of the country, affirming moreover that the term" zone of lawlessness must no longer exist in our vocabulary." He also intends to fight effectively against all damage to private property, including acts of spoliation which are common in some of our jurisdictions.

On Wednesday, less than 24 hours after the installation of the new Minister Aly, he visited the employees of the various departments, units, services and sections of the ministry, and exchanged with the executives and members of the small staff with regard to the most pressing needs both in materials and in human resources. While promising to adopt measures to strengthen the Ministry and improve the working conditions of the employees he reminded everyone, that all officials must be at their offices between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm as stipulated in the law on public service.
