NOTICE : New measure for the delivery of passports in NY

The Consulate General of the Republic of Haiti in New York informs that "the delivery of passports will be by mail. Passport owners must provide the Consulate with a valid mailing address and pay $20 for delivery charges. The receipt form must be signed by the person receiving the passport."

NOTICE : French Embassy closed

All services of the Embassy of France in Haiti will be closed to the public Friday, May 25, 2018. The visa service will reopen Monday, May 28 at Impasse Gardère. Other services will re-open on Tuesday, May 29, 51 rue Capois.

Re-election of Maduro, late congratulations

Probably because of the tense situation in Venezuela and the international political pressure surrounding the controversial presidential election in Venezuela, Antonio Rodrigue, the Foreign Minister waited nearly 48 hours to welcome the re-election Sunday, May 20, Nicolas Maduro elected by less than 50% of voters with 68% of the votes cast. Note that so far, President Jovenel Moïse has not issued any official congratulatory messages.
