227,858 candidates for 9th AF exams
From Monday, June 11 to Wednesday, June 13, 2018, the exams for the 9th fundamental year will be held throughout the national territory. These tests will be attended by 227,858 candidates who will be assessed on 7 subjects for a total of 1,600 points: French communication, experimental sciences, Creole communication, social sciences, English, mathematics and Spanish (English and Spanish are compulsory).

Strengthening of the security in Haiti
On Monday, under the leadership of Prime Minister Lafontant, a special meeting of the National Police High Council (CSPN) was held. Lafontant, Ministers Jean Roody Aly (Justice), Jean-Marie Reynaldo Brunet (Interior), and Territorial Collectivities, Secretary of State for Public Security Ronsard St Cyr and Michel-Ange Gédéon, Director General of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) have for several hours, reviewed the security climate of the metropolitan area and across the country, in order to create a serene climate for tourism, festive activities and other initiatives organized by the population, during the summer holidays. Following this meeting, decisions to strengthen the security climate in Haiti were adopted.

Péligre turbines loading tests
On Monday, as part of the commissioning of the Péligre plant and to increase its capacity to offer its customers high quality and quantity of electricity, THE eLECTRICITY OF HaIti (EDH) proceeded to loading tests on two turbines to evaluate the work. These tests required the interruption of the current from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm throughout the metropolitan area.

Hurricanes : PM calls mayors
At 5 days from the beginning of the hurricane season Prime Minister Lafontant appealed to the mayors "I ask the mayors to work closely with the communal committees to help them be more effective in their interventions in the field in case of disasters [ ...] I must stress that all actions, which we will lead in preparation as in response to possible disasters, must continue to focus on reducing the vulnerability of the country." D-3, Livres en Folie everything is ready
According to the organizers of the 24th Edition of Livres en Folie to be held on May 31 and Friday, June 1, 2018, in the gardens of the Museum of Haitian National Pantheon (MUPANAH), on the Champ de Mars, more than 1800 titles and 159 authors in signature will be present, saying that everything is ready for the smooth running of the biggest book fair in Haiti.
