Superior Council of Salaries calls for calm

The Superior Council of Salaries (CSS) announces that it has begun the process of preparing its 5th report on the setting of the minimum wage, which is scheduled for publication on 1 August. CFHCI visits Barbancourt

To better understand the reality of its members, a delegation of the Franco-Haitian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CFHCI) went to the factory of Rum Barbancourt - Wednesday morning. Several topics were discussed with the aim of providing concrete solutions for the access to the factory by the Damien road, smuggling, the interest rate for the development of agro-industry and the support to 800 growers who feed the plant employing more than 500 people.

Towards sustainable financing of biodiversity

Haiti is about to put in place an autonomous financial mechanism to protect, restore and sustainably use its natural capital and protected areas. With a view to the establishment of the Haitian Biodiversity Fund, UN Environment and its partners: the French Agency for Development (AFD), the German Cooperation KFW, "The Nature Conservancy", the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the Audubon Haiti Society, make up the delegation of Haiti, which is taking part in the 6th annual meeting of the Caribbean Biodiversity Fund.
