The work consisted in the construction of two structures in the town of Gilbert (Haut Saint-Marc), the implementation of 12 km of pipes of 12 inch ductile iron and PVC (adduction), the construction of two reservoirs (one of 1,700 m3 to Pivertetu and one of 160 m3 to La Garenne) ,the installation of 3500 new branches and 26 kiosks that sale of water, among others.

The work took 18 months. The firm Lysa manages the network of Saint Marc since August 2009 and continues its expansion to increase the numbers of beneficiaries and develop public service of drinking water on Saint Marc and the surrounding communities. 33 people working in the management of this system to provide the inhabitants of Saint-Marc a good quality water in sufficient quantity. The network currently has 3,890 connections with meter and 2750 meter free. The tariff applied to metered connections is 62, 50 gourds/m3, while a monthly fee of 220 gourds is required for subscribers whose connection is not equipped with this device. Work is underway to rehabilitate the old system and regulating package subscribers (without meter), but to date, residents have drinking water eight hours per day.
