Haiti - Football : League of Nations, first training session for Grenadiers
Sunday as announced by Carlo Marcelin, the Secretary General of the Haitian Football Federation (FHF), our Grenadiers of the National Men's Seniors selection have settled at the Royal Decameron in preparation for their first match of the League of Nations https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-25426-haiti-football-first-match-of-the-league-of-nations-haiti-saint-martin.html of the Confederation of North America, Central America and the Caribbean (CONCACAF) against the team of Saint-Martin, scheduled on September 10, in which Haiti aims for first place in Group B, to join the teams qualified for the 2019 Gold Cup.

Monday at around 5:00 pm, national coach Marc Collat led the first training session on the Royal Decameron hotel's grounds until the group was fully on Monday night to begin sessions at the Levelt Park in Saint-Marc on Tuesday.

With the exception of Ronaldo Damus, who was allowed to leave the group temporarily, the remaining 15 players actively participated in all the exercises proposed by Collat and his team. It was easy to see the joy, the atmosphere and the good mood between the players who warmly welcomed the arrival of four newcomers Ricardo Adé, Andrew Jean Baptiste, Derrick Etienne and Jeff Louis. This now brings to 20 the number of convened at the disposal of the technical team. All that's missing is Alex Christian Junior (Gandzasar, Armenia), who arrives on Tuesday morning and is expected to participate in the training session on the lawn at the Levelt Park in St. Marc at 5.30 pm.

Recall that Thursday, September 6, the Grenadiers will play a test match against the Haitian U-20 selection that prepares the qualifiers of the CONCACAF championship for the world cup FIFA, Poland 2018 will be played from November 1 to 21 in Bradenton in Florida.

Note that the stakes are high for our Grenadiers in the League of Nations, since the result will define the participation of Haitian football for the next four years including the Gold Cup, Copa America and the qualifiers of the World Cup 2022 Quatar.
