Haiti - Football : Big promises of Moïse to the senior Grenadiers
President Jovenel Moïse, accompanied by his Chief of Staff Wilson Laleau, received Tuesday at the National Palace, the Grenadiers who were accompanied by Yves Jean Bart aka "Dadou", the President of the Haitian Football Federation (FHF), Carlo Marcelin Secretary General of the Federation, National Coach Marc Collat and his deputies, Jean Claude Josaphat, Sebastien Guia Lopez and Sébastien Maté.

The Head of State took the opportunity to salute the performance of the Senior Grenadiers who, in their first match of the CONCACAF League of Nations at Stade Sylvio Cator, crushed the St-Maarten team [13-0] https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-25499-haiti-league-of-nations-the-grenadiers-pulverize-saint-marteen-[13-0].html while promising to accompany them for the rest of the competition.

To this end, Moïse asked Yves Jean Bart to submit within 8 days a budget for the League of Nations in response to requests from among others the FHF, the coach and players, who want concrete support from the Government, as this is practiced in all the football selections in the world.

President Moïse took among other things : the formal commitment to offer a monthly allocation to senior national selection internationals in addition to a diplomatic passport to facilitate their travel around the world, inviting players to complete certain formalities, especially those holding dual nationality, such as obtaining a National Identification Card (CIN) and a Tax Identification Number (NIF) to formally integrate the Haitian system.

Haiti will play its next two matches in the League of Nations first moving to St. Lucia on October 13 to face the local selection and then in Costa Rica in November to play against Nicaragua which can not receive a match because of political troubles.

Marc Collat's protégés will play in Haiti the last game of this phase against Cuba at Sylvio Cator Stadium in March 2019.

Note that on the sidelines of the October trip to St. Lucia, a friendly match is scheduled against Martinique on October 10 at Fort de France.
