During his speech, he recalled that despite significant progress made in the fight against the cholera epidemic since 2010, the disease continues to claim victims in Haiti, stressing that to eradicate the disease completely by 2022, Haiti needed funding "I am advocating to the UN General Assembly to remind the urgency of continuing international funding to defeat cholera.
