Haiti - FLASH : 33 accidents and 83 victims in one week

According to the Haitian organization Technical and Operational Services for Accident (STOP-accidents), the assessment made in partnership with the National Ambulance Center and the Haitian Red Cross for the period of September 17 and 23, amounts to 33 road accidents causing 83 casualties (8 deaths and 75 injuries)
According to the former Director of the National Ambulance Center Michel Garnel, coordinator of the Haitian organization STOP-Accidents most victims are between 15 and 45 years deploring that despite the measures announced by the police authorities https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-25273-icihaiti-road-safety-the-pnh-high-staff-in-front-of-the-senate.html , the number of victims has not decreased since the end of the summer period.
In addition to the poor condition of the vehicles and the lack of compliance with the laws by drivers, Garnel involves among other things the poor condition of roads and uncontrolled spills on the roadway of fatras and building materials that represent real dangers for users of the road.
