After the control of 1,600 Haitians there are ten days of which 60% had been deported https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-25598-haiti-dr-1-600-haitians-controlled-in-less-than-24-hours-more-than-60-deported-to-haiti.html the General Directorate of Migration (DGM) reports the migratory control of 1,143 Haitians, during several simultaneous operations that allowed to detect 820 compatriots (71%) illegally residing in the Dominican Republic.

These Interdiction Operations were conducted in the provinces of Espaillat, Montecristi, Santiago de los Caballeros, Puerto Plata, Valverde the municipalities of Santo Domingo North, East and West.

The migratory control teams were composed of inspectors, agents of the Directorate General of Migration (DGM) with the support of the military, the National Police in coordination with the Public Ministry of the Provinces concerned.

After these checks, our compatriots were transferred to the border posts of Dajabón and Elías Piña, to be registered there before being deported to Haiti.
