Penal Code : tabiling of report to Senate

Wednesday, Jean Renel Sénatus President of the Justice and Security Commission, in charge of the review of the new penal code and code of criminal procedures since last April, has tabled to the Senate office its final report on these two important documents, which should be soon entered the debate of the Upper House.

DGI will have to collect 50% more

The Directorate General of Taxes (DGI) will have to collect 56 billion gourdes for the new fiscal year 2018-2019 according to revenue forecasts made by the Ministry of Economy and Finance, informs Miradin Morlan, Director General of the DGI. Recall that in the previous exercise 38 billion were collected out of 41 billion estimated (in the initial budget, revised target to 50 billion in the amending budget)

Japan : Towards new projects

The Director General of the Ministry of Agriculture, Branly Eugène met the officials of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). The objective was to start discussions on the implementation of new projects of the Ministry of Agriculture with Japan.

6,769 more jobs in the textile sector

"6 companies formed in 2017 (Digneron Mfg, LIFE, Hansae Haiti, H4H in Port-au-Prince, and MAS Akansyèl and Everest Apparel in Caracol), have created alone 3,000 jobs" informs the Association of Industries of Haiti (ADIH), adding "As of August 31, 2018, total employment in the clothing sector amounted to 51,669. This represents an increase of 6,769 jobs, or 15%, compared to the previous year."

Quality Control of Food Products
