Haiti - Politic : Launch of the rehabilitation works of Park Ste Anne

Saturday, after several inspection visits on various sports parks and playgrounds, Edwing Charles, the Minister of Youth and Sports, along with the deputy Jean Romel Beaugé launched the redevelopment works of Park Ste-Anne, Maïssade, a border comune in the department of the Center.

In the presence of the local authorities and many residents, Minister Charles laid the first stone of the development of the playing area and the construction of the fence of this football field, before visiting another space intended for the construction of a basketball court.

It was also the opportunity for Charles to go later in the locality of Papaye (Hinche) to visit the unfinished Park for more than 4 years, at the end of his visit, he estimated the changing rooms and toilet blocks were poorly placed and the stadiums not complying with standards and that the earthworks had to be corrected. Then he went to Park Charlemagne Péralte of Hinche, where he noticed a playing surface with height difference and the absence of changing rooms, toilet blocks and an insufficient capacity of bleachers.

The local authorities and the athletes of Maïssade, Papaye and Hinche have welcomed the Minister's visits, who promised to work on these various issues by considering, after technical advice from the Infrastructure and Facilities Unit, adequate interventions.
