On Saturday, following the work of the Dominican intelligence services, members of the specialized body of border security (CESFRONT) seized in Cabo Rojo on the south coast in the Pedernales Province, 23 marijuana bullets for a total of 229 pounds (103.8 kg) which were concealed in a cache of a truck carrying clothing from Port-au-Prince.

Three people who were transporting this merchandise, were arrested during this seizure and identified as Juan Herasme, Michael Cuevas and Jessi Reyes. The CESFRONT leader, Colonel José Manuel Duran Infante handed over the drugs and the 3 detainees to the National Directorate of Drug Control (DNCD).

Recall that in recent months, the CESFRONT and the Dominican army have harsh blows drug traffickers and smugglers of goods from Haiti, dismantling more than 10 mafia gangs.
