After his 78th place at World Ski Championships of Garmisch Partenkirchen and his descent to support the Japanese people mid-March in Méribel, Jean Pierre Roy aka "Rasta Piquett" Haitian of 47 years, will start again for Haiti on the snowy slopes of Chamrousse this Saturday, April 2 from 9:00 am.

Jean Pierre has been invited to participate to the 20th edition of the Challenge régional des Cadres fédéraux hosted by the Comité du Dauphiné of the French Ski Federation.

The event, around a giant slalom will bring together around 180 participants among the 600 federal monitors and coaches who teach each winter within the 200 ski clubs of Isère, Drôme and Ardèche. Marcel Calvat, President of the Regional Committee and former President of the French ski federation will be present.

"It is with great pleasure that we welcome Jean-Pierre Roy for that day. We admire his sporting career and his investment both in alpine skiing and the support for Haiti.In addition Jean-Pierre, as federal monitor 1st level of alpine skiing, is fully part of our great family, the family of the French ski federation and I am sure that he will put all his heart and his energy in the Saturday race!" declared Philippe Rameau, Secretary General of the Regional Winter Sports (CRSN) of the Dauphiné. At the end of the day, prizes will be awarded to the most meritorious by categories, and to the "lucky" as a result of a friendly draw.

The participation of Jean Pierre with his combination with the colors of Haiti will remind to everyone, that we should not forget that people are suffering in Haiti and the support of all remains crucial, as the situation has not returned to normal.
