Haiti - Politic : Future Corps of civil engineers and architects in the public service
Thursday at the National Palace, Jovenel Moïse, the President of the Republic, proceeded to the official presentation of the future Corps of Civil Engineers and Architects (CICA) in the public service, they are 100 engineers who have succeeded the integration contest of the Public Administration, out of 700 candidates.

The ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Jean-Henry Céant, Jules Cantave, President of the Court of Cassation, parliamentarians, members of the government and the diplomatic and consular corps, mayors and advisers to the president.

In this circumstance, the Head of State welcomed the laureates, then congratulated the work of the jury and that of the Office of Management and Human Resources, which has been engaged since the last quarter of 2019 in the recruitment and the formation of this Corps of Engineers and Architects.

The President of the Republic who said he was happy to pay tribute, through this cohort of civil engineers and architects, to the youth of his country, recalled his commitment to his emancipation "You have overcome your apprehensions and are have become the happy ones elected as part of the modernization of the administration and the renovation of the public service [...] Haiti needs your competence, so you will give the best of yourselves and your capacity by posing a citizen action, that of integrating the municipalities of your country," also reminding these certified young people that they are now at the center of the construction and development of Haiti, adding "The road to the modernization of public administration Haitian is engaged because we have today set the objectives of providing it with the necessary skills. We are ready, and we are doing it," taking the opportunity to invite citizens to join the government in changing their behavior as part of their construction projects.

The President of the Jury, the former Minister of Culture, Monique Rocourt, thanked President Jovenel Moïse for having thought to endow local and regional authorities with valuable assistance in the field of architecture and engineering, in its fight against favoritism and mediocrity. Rocourt took the opportunity to point out to the new members of CICA that they were recruited to enable the country to live better through this change initiated by the government and desired by all Haitians. "Learn to find solutions before looking for where the mistakes come from."

It should be remembered that these 100 laureates engineers and architects of this competition will benefit from initial training starting in January 2019 and will ultimately be offered access to the public service on the basis of the laws governing the subject. It should also be noted that, under the hierarchical authority of the Prime Minister, the Office of Management and Human Resources is responsible for leading and coordinating government action related to organization, operation, performance, development and the efficiency of administration and the public service.
