Following the sinking on February 2, 6 miles off the Abaco Islands north of the Bahamas archipelago, of a boat carrying an indeterminate number of Haitians where 28 of our compatriots are drowned drowned https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-26837-haiti-flash-toll-rising-at-least-28-haitians-die-drowned-off-the-bahamas-update.html and whose funeral took place Sunday, February 10 at 2:00 pm at the auditorium Enock Backford, located on Garmichael Road in Nasseau https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-26890-haiti-news-zapping.html , Carl Murat Cantave the President of the Senate is said to be "Deeply saddened by the tragic deaths of these compatriots [...] The words are of no help to express the pain I feel at this moment towards the relatives and friends affected by this tragedy.
