Armed men near US staff residences

On Thursday, gunmen were seen in the area near the staff residences of the US Embassy. the Embassy has asked his staff as a precaution to avoid going out.

The General Hospital in distress

Jessy Colimon, the Director of the General Hospital, denounces the groups of protesters in front of the hospital that prevent the Hospital Center from functioning reminding : "The hospital lacks water, fuel, medical staff can not get to work and for the moment the emergency service is no longer operational."

Filipino safety advice

OAS Call for Dialogue

Luis Almagro, the Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS) met with Chancellor Bocchit Edmond to discuss the situation in Haiti and said "We call on all sectors to participate fully in the process of dialogue, to respect the democratic process and to resort to peaceful means to resolve conflicts .

The Dominican Government reassures its population

Thursday, in front of riots in Haiti for over a week, Margarita Cedeño de Fernández, Vice President of the Dominican Republic, affirmed that the country's security was guaranteed and ensure that the Minister of Defense charged with protecting the border with Haiti, had deployed a major surveillance and defense system to deal with the situation if necessary.

PHN : Prohibition of collecting or receiving donations
