The socio-political and economic crisis, the insecurity in the neighborhoods, the budget of the elections which is registered in the budget of the exercise 2018-2019, which is always deposited in Parliament, the absence of legal framework (electoral laws and Organic of the Provisional Electoral Council), are some of the points advanced by Cantave to justify his position, recalling that the country needed at least a year to prepare a good election. "Talking about elections in October 2019 is make a reference to something fictitious," says Cantave, who calls on all concerned to go beyond. If the dialogue does not take place or if it does not lead to concrete and applicable solutions, the Senator Cantave fears an institutional vacuum in Haiti and a real disorder citing : deputies at the end of the term, a dysfunctional Senate with 1/3 less senators and comunes without authorities, which will force the Head of State to lead by decree with the negative socio-political consequences that inevitably imply.
