Haiti - Politic : The adviser of President accuses Céant to have financed the demonstrations

Jude Charles Faustin, the adviser to President Jovenel Moïse, said on a radio of the capital, that the former Prime Minister Jean Henry Céant before his departure, had facilitated the release of 1.3 billion gourdes to finance Opposition demonstrations scheduled for March 29.

In addition, Faustin accuses Céant of conspiring against President Moïse and funding the February protest movements to overthrow the Head of State.

Charges strongly denied by a note from the private secretariat of former Prime Minister Jean-Henry Céant :

Note of Disclaimer :

"The Private Secretariat of former Prime Minister Jean-Henry Céant denounces an unhealthy and systematic campaign of smearing orchestrated against the person of the former Head of Government. Indeed, since the resignation of the former tenant of the Primature, ill-intentioned individuals indulge loosely in an enterprise of lynching and murder of character against him by allegations as misleading as defamatory.

The most unusual case of this saga of ominous is this statement of Jude Charles Faustin on the air of several radio stations of the capital making believe that 'former Prime Minister Céant would have facilitated the disbursement of 1.3 billion gourdes to the profit of private sector to support the protests scheduled for March 29, 2019. Pushing imposture and ridicule to the extreme, this former Deputy even referred to the latest insurrectional movements called 'Peyi Lok' as the work of former Prime Minister Jean-Henry Céant.'

Subject to the legal proceedings he may take in connection with these far-fetched and deceptive statements, the former Prime Minister intends to despise them, and in fact despises them while taking refuge, for the moment, in his silence as a statesman.

Private Secretariat of former Prime Minister Jean-Henry Céant.

Done at Port-au-Prince, this 27th day of March, 2019"
