Haiti - Football : Towards the rehabilitation of the stadium Sylvio Cator 31/03/2019 08:44:55
This week Edwing Charles, the Minister of Youth and Sports, accompanied by officials and technicians from the Ministry, made an assessment visit to Sylvio Cator National Stadium to determine the work that this sports infrastructure requires in anticipation of future matches of League A, pending the terms of reference of the Confederation of North American, Central American and Caribbean Football (CONCACAF)
Minister Charles, aware of the importance of the standardization of sports facilities for the national teams and clubs involved in the CONCACAF qualifying rounds, is ready to work with the Haitian Football Federation (FHF) on necessary interventions at the National Stadium to meet the criteria of CONCACAF.
Charles has found that the state of Stade Sylvio Cator does not honor the sacrifices made by our footballers and is far from the image projected by their exploits. Rehabilitation and maintenance work is essential, according to the Minister, stating, "It is the duty of the State to promote the standardization of sports facilities and to protect our athletes and sports associations as well as our national selections."
