Haiti - FLASH : Jovenel Moïse asks the UN to play the role of observer in the inter-Haitian dialogue
Having tried in vain for several months, to gather around the same table of dialogue, all the actors of the society, the President Moïse now appeals to the UN in the hope of obtaining the necessary support to incite Haitians to dialogue...

For this purpose, on Wednesday in New York, Bocchit Edmond, the Haitian Minister of Foreign Affairs asked the UN Security Council, on behalf of President Jovenel Moïse, that the United Nations, observer in the inter-Haitian dialogue "[...] I asked, on behalf of the President of the Republic and obtained that the United Nations [...] plays the role of observer in this inter-Haitian dialogue. As a result, a request for technical assistance was made by the National Dialogue Facilitation Committee for the provision of a senior UN expert on the subject."

Chancellor Bocchit Edmond recalled that it is because President Moïse is very aware that no political party can overcome the challenges facing the country that it continues to reiterate its call for a "constructive and inclusive dialogue between all the actors of national life, convinced that the recovery of the Nation engages the responsibility of all Haitians of good will."
