Australia invites Haiti
Acting Prime Minister Jean Michel Lapin recently received in his official residence in Bourdon, the Honorary Consul of Australia in Haiti, Mrs. Julia Grinberg who came to invite Government officials and parliamentarians to represent Haiti in Australia in an exhibition and a festival, that his country organizes in November where more than 30,000 visitors are expected.
Training of elected women
After the South, Fednel Monchery, Director General of the Ministry of the Interior, officially launched the 2nd training seminar for the benefit of the elected women of the Department of Grand-Anse in order to strengthen their skills, on the notions relating in particular to democracy, the roles and responsibilities of municipal officials, good governance practices and recourse to situations of violence against women and girls, in politics and in social life in general.
Health : New Assistant Director of the PSPE
This week, Roody Mentor, the Director of the cabinet of the Minister of Public Health (Marie Greta Roy Clément) in the presence of Jocelyne Pierre-Louis Director General of Health Promotion and Protection of the Environment (PSPE), proceeded the installation of Dr. Roodney Dupy as the new Assistant Director of the PSPE.
The Director of the CFI elected President of CAIPA
The Investment Facilitation Center (CFI) announces that Tessa Jacques Antoine, Director General of CFI, has been elected President of the Association of Caribbean Investment Promotion Agencies (CAIPA). The association was created in 2007 to facilitate the collaboration of regional investment promotion agencies, build the capacity of its members, and promote the region as an ideal site for foreign direct investment, now has 23 member states.
"How to prepare an Easter dinner"
The Hotel School of Haiti (EHH) in Port-au-Prince, through its Director, Karine Condé and its Events and Communication Department, organized during 3 days a training seminar under the theme "How to prepare an Easter dinner". At the end of this training the participants prepared and served a buffet with the help of Chefs Giovanni and Marvin from the EHH, to which the press and some guests came to take part.
