Sunday Bocchit Edmond went to Les Cayes to attend the 83rd Annual Convention of the Baptized Evangelical Mission of Southern Haiti and paid a courtesy call on the First Haitian Cardinal, His Eminence Cardinal Chibly Langlois.

Launch of Laferronay canal cleaning

Saturday, Rony Colin the Mayor of Croix-des-Bouquets accompanied by Mr. Jacky C. Pierre, serving as Chief of Staff of the Mayors, proceeded to the start of the cleaning of the main canal Laferronay, in the section of Petit-Bois. The cleaning of this canal will bring relief to the inhabitants of areas such as Dargou and Leroux who were in great difficulty to irrigate their vegetable gardens.

BSEIPH : award of 5 grants

The Office of the Secretary of State for the Integration of Persons with Disabilities (BSEIPH) has awarded to 5 disabled people's organizations a subsidy ranging from 150,000 to 300,000 Gourdes to facilitate the response to the urgent needs of beneficiaries as well as to provide assistance to some members of their organization. These are the Haitian Society for Help to the Blind (SHAA), the National Coalition of Organizations for the Integration of Persons with Disabilities (CONOIPH), the Association Arche Haiti, the Association of Disabled People in Motion (ASHAMO) and Home of Love of Haiti (Foyer d’Amour d’Haïti).

Floral offerings to the Fathers of the Fatherland

After presenting their credentials, the new ambassadors Jehanne Roccas (Kingdom of Belgium), Annemieke Verrijp (Kingdom of the Netherlands) and Francisco Javier Torres Gonzales (Republic of Panama) visited the Haitian National Pantheon Museum (MUPANAH), to place respectively floral offerings in honor of the Fathers of the Haitian Motherland, before a guided tour of the museum's exhibition halls to discover the history and culture of our country with Mrs. Emmelie Prophet Milcé, the acting Director General a look at the Museum. Me Vieux honored by France

On Friday, the Ambassador of France accredited to Haiti José Gomez, handed the insignia of Knight in the National Order of Merit to Me Vieux lawyer of post, honoring a great francophone and Francophile, who has worked to strengthen the university links with France.
