Tuesday, in the presence of the Ambassador of Taiwan (Republic of China) accredited to Haiti, Hu Cheng Hao, Marie Elise Brisson Gelin, Minister of Social Affairs and Labor and Chancellor Edmond Bocchit, Charles Ernest Chatelier, Director General of the Economic and Social Assistance Fund (FAES) took stock of the program "Bourad Manje" which includes 3 components: "Panye Solidarite", "Kantin Mobil" and "Restoran Kominotè".

In this circumstance Chatelier expressed his great satisfaction for the success of this program which was funded by the Embassy of Taiwan in Haiti to the tune of $5 million.

281,847 kits were distributed under the "panye solidarite" program, 205,000 dishes were distributed in the "kantin mobil" program. 417 community restaurants have already been launched while the FAES hopes to launch 775 and 600,000 dishes have been sold (10 Gourdes the dishes) in these restaurants.

Ambassador Hu Cheng Hao was also pleased with the success of the program and in order to avoid any disruption in the supply of community restaurants, he promised that a donation of 800 tons of white rice will be handed over to Taiwan soon to the Haitian Government.

In recognition of the Government, the Minister of Social Affairs presented Ambassador Hu Cheng Hao a plaque of honor.
