Haiti - Social : Taiwan satisfied with the results of the food assistance program 01/05/2019 11:34:22
In this circumstance Chatelier expressed his great satisfaction for the success of this program which was funded by the Embassy of Taiwan in Haiti to the tune of $5 million. 281,847 kits were distributed under the "panye solidarite" program, 205,000 dishes were distributed in the "kantin mobil" program. 417 community restaurants have already been launched while the FAES hopes to launch 775 and 600,000 dishes have been sold (10 Gourdes the dishes) in these restaurants. Ambassador Hu Cheng Hao was also pleased with the success of the program and in order to avoid any disruption in the supply of community restaurants, he promised that a donation of 800 tons of white rice will be handed over to Taiwan soon to the Haitian Government. In recognition of the Government, the Minister of Social Affairs presented Ambassador Hu Cheng Hao a plaque of honor. HL/ HaitiLibre
