Haiti must succeed in the challenge of democracy and development. Haiti can not continue to accept the status of a people subject to the inevitability of misery. The moment has arrived to break with what is called a fatality of misery. Democracy and sustainable development would be nothing but words, new clothes on inhuman cingular realities, without the commitment of all of you [...] to repair the wrongs made to this people. Haitian people, You chose me, I chose you, my party is you I think of these thousands of young people and all those of the diaspora who fled this country, discouraged before the walls that our institutions and the absence of opportunity have erected on their course. Me your servant I am an accident of this system, I am where I am today, President of Haiti is your wish Haitian people but it is not the will of some people, some groups of this country . I am thinking of all those small businesses that are in great difficulty and can not find credit in the system to grow and create the jobs the country needs. I think of all the officials, everyone 'wins small' who do not know how to devote themselves to honor their daily obligations I think of all our police officers who must brave every day in difficult conditions, banditry, I think of the army, the founding institution of our Nation, the army restructured to accompany the Nation in its fight against natural disasters and in view of economic and social development of the country.
