On Sunday, May 26, students from Quisqueya University (UNIQ) will organize a peaceful march to denounce the sexual assaults of students, including two of them who were raped in the evening of Friday 17 may after their courses at the University. Environment : Haiti ranked 174th out of 180 countries
In the latest 2018 environmental performance index designed to assess and compare the effectiveness of countries' environmental policies, Haiti ranks 174th out of 180 countries surveyed, with a score of 33.74 out of 100 and ranked last in the Caribbean zone. The Dominican Republic is ranked 50th out of 180 countries with a score of 64.71 and 3rd in the Caribbean (behind St Vincent & Grenadines 2nd and Trinidad and Tobago 1st)

Memorial Day : Haitian Consulates closed
The Consulate General of the Republic of Haiti in Miami and that of Atlanta inform the public in general and the Press in particular that the Consulate will be closed on Monday, May 27, 2019, on the occasion of the "Memorial Day", closing day in the United States of America.
