Haiti - Politic : New alarm call from the Ministry of National Education
Pierre Josué Agénor Cadet, the Minister of National Education is deeply concerned about the calls for the strike and to protest and recalls that the period of State examinations (24 June to 3 August 2019) represents an important moment in the assessment of achievements for more than 300,000 candidates (all categories) including 112,000 for the regular baccalaureate and 42,000 for the session of those that failed (permanent baccalaureate).

In this period of final evaluation across the national territory and the approach of the official exams, the Minister Cadet again launchs a cry of alarm https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-27934-haiti-education-aggressive-claims-at-the-ministry-of-national-education.html to all actors indiscriminately and to all citizens for the protection of the interests of our children and the school.

While recognizing that this is a legitimate right of everyone to peacefully express their demands in any democratic society, the Minister recalls that it is important for all to protect educational achievements in parallel and to our children to have access to education in all circumstances. Emphasizing "Education is the most important investment for the future of our young people. We have an obligation to preserve the school from political commotions."

Cadet calls for "the mobilization of all to ensure the fundamental right to education of our children by allowing them to complete the academic year and look to the future. Let's the school out of politics and work together so that our children can have access to education in all circumstances."

  • 9th AF examinations: 24th to 26th June 2019;
  • Examinations of the ENIs: June 24 to 28, 2019;
  • Examinations of Family Education Centers: June 24 to 28, 2019;
  • Early Early Examination 3: June 28, 2019.
  • Exit Examinations: July 8th to 12th, 2019;
  • 2nd session of the recalés: 8 to 12 July 2019;
  • Examinations Technical and Vocational Training (FTP) July 30 to August 3, 2019.
