Haiti - Elections : The true victory requires wisdom and humility
The party "Regwoupman Sitwayen Pou Espwa (RESPÈ)" notes that April 20, 2011 marks the end of the electoral process strongly guided by international bodies, whose results have been made official by the Provisional Electoral Council.

Declaration of principle of party RESPÉ :
"The question is not to know, If we agree or not. It is about managing our unwavering commitment to the cardinal principles that we value, our compliance with a strict and purist ethic and the need to save what remains of pride and respect in our country. The date of April 20, puts us in front of a reality that invites the party the party RESPÈ and all Haitians concerned about the future of our country to choose between the ropes, our starting position, and the fraternal harmony for a better Haiti.

By speaking today to the youth and all the Haitian people, tired of a transition and endless suffering in their heart and their flesh, the party RESPÉ welcomes the march of history and takes note. We do not judge men and women forced to make difficult choices at the time of their desperation, we support them and that is what the party RESPÉ has chosen to do. This is how we can fix the mistakes of history and avoid falling into sterile struggles which remove us even more of our pride and our respect.

To those who are declared winners, the party RESPÈ recalls that the true victory requires wisdom and humility. This is not the one won at the polls with emotions. Our victory is that which we must win on the humiliating misery of men and women languishing in filth and the humiliation under tents since Jan. 12, 2010. We talk about the victory that must win our farmers and our manufacturers by boosting domestic production. We want a victory, made from the creation of hundreds of thousands of permanent jobs for men and women who want to work with their hands to win with pride and dignity their daily bread and build themselves, their houses for the respect of their families.

The party RESPÈ hope with you a victory on the corruption at all levels and rational investment for each gourd of the State to the benefit of the underprivileged classes eager of relief of their misery. We all want a victory over the Insecurity! We want a victory for the protection of women and children against all forms of exploitation, abuse and violence. We want a big victory for our young students, eager to know, who still dream of a University Campus by region of the country. The party RESPÈ wants a victory where the National Flag is floating on our territory guarded by a National Police and a Haitian Army in the pride and respect.

To all the leaders and members of political parties of all tendencies, students, unionists, workers, patrons, growers, small traders, the unemployed, the taxi drivers, farmers and city dwellers, to the valiant brothers and sisters of the diaspora, to the winners and losers and the entire Haitian youth in general, we offer the olive branch and the great fraternal understanding for the reconstruction of our country. The time has come to stand up again, to start again and avoid that the decade 2004-2014 begins and ends as the 1994-2004, from foreign occupation to foreign occupations without bringing anything positive for a people that changed the history of freedoms and human rights worldwide.

In a storm, we can not remain opposed to the captain of the boat while we are on board. The important is to save what remains and to arrive to the port safely.

Patriotically yours"

Charles Henri Baker, President of the Party RESPÉ
