Our Grenadiers did not play a spectacular match but did the basics, in the first period while the "Pinoleros" had the initiative, Steeven Saba on a nice pass from Duckens Nazon opens the core for Haiti to 22' [ 1-0]. 12 minutes later, Derrick Etienne served again by Nazon hijacked by Nicaraguan Manuel Rosas who scored against his side, sinking the score in favor of Haiti [2-0].

At the return of the locker room our Grenadiers have only retained their advantage while leaving the "Pinoleros" largely dominate the game (71% possession of the ball) against 29% for our national selection. "Pinoleros" less conquering after the 2 goals in the first period who chose to play caution against the Haitian team.

This victory leads Haiti to its fourth participation in the quarter-finals of the Gold Cup, since 2002

For his last Pool match, our Grenadiers will face Costa Rica on Monday, June 24 at 9:00 pm (local time, same time in Haiti) on the lawn of the "Red Bull Arena" in Harrison, New Jersey (USA) in search of the first place in Group B
