Haiti - Humanitarian : Japan satisfies by projects carried out by Haiti 08/08/2019 10:18:30
This meeting took place around the 2017 KR Program, with the aim of keeping the course in the right direction for the optimization of the results. It provided an opportunity to review the operations inherent in the marketing and use of counterpart funds generated by BMPAD's local market rice sales. The Technical Department of the Office of Development Assistance Programs took the opportunity to project images of the projects already carried out and also those that are currently being implemented, an initiative appreciated by the Japanese representatives. The Government of Japan, expressed satisfaction with the projects already completed and promised to continue to support the Haitian people through other programs that will start in the coming months as part of the KR 2018 signed at the end of January 2018 between the two governments https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-27166-haiti-japan-signature-of-a-$36m-grant-agreement-for-rice-purchase.html . This cooperation, which has lasted for more than half a century, will enable the Haitian State to carry out other major projects in the fields of education, health, agriculture, food security and food security, the sanitation among others.
