PNH : New DG at the DCPA

Friday, 3 days after his appointment as the new DG of the PNH, Normil Rameau proceeded to the installation of the Divisional Commissioner Mario Aubergiste as new Director General at the Central Directorate of the Administrative Police (DCPA). He replaces Inspector General Carl-Henry Bocher who held this position since August 2018.

PetroCaribe : The former PM Lamothe auditioned

Friday, August 30, the former Prime Minister Laurent Salvador Lamothe responded to the convocation of the investigating magistrate Ramoncite Accimé responsible for the PetroCaribe file. At the end of his hearing (7:00 am - 11:00 am, the former Prime Minister made no comment). Mario Delcy, one of Lamothe's lawyers, said his client was serene and confident and hoped that the whole truth will be known, he says that his client has nothing to hide and is ready to answer all questions of justice as many times as he is needed, without revealing other details about what is said to be bound by the secrecy of instruction.

Corruption Investigation at the Consulate of Haiti in New York

Following reports from employees about hidden expenses and corruption, an investigation was opened at the Consulate of Haiti in New York. Bocchit Edmond, the Minister of Foreign Affairs declined to comment recalling that an investigation into these allegations was under way and that he will make a timely statement.

Dorian : Alert lifted in Haiti

Hurricane Dorian of Category 4 is heading to the Bahamas and then to Florida, which he is expected to reach on Sunday evening or Monday, where a Haitian community of nearly 200,000 members lives.
