Closed Embassies

Police demonstrations

Yesterday, demonstrated police offciers in plainclothes and citizens in solidarity with their cause to demand better treatment (salary, insurance...) It is good to remember that in Haiti there is no police union, and that the police are prohibited from demonstrating.

Distribution to prisoners

As part of the Rehabilitation Project for women and minors detained at the Cabaret Women's Civil Prison, funded by Global Affairs Canada (GAC), the organization "Kri Fanm Ayiti" (KRIFA) in partnership with Avocats Sans Frontières Canada (CBSA), distributed cell phones, food kits, hygiene kits and transport costs to ex-prisoners.
