Seeking investments for Haiti
This week, the "Haiti INVEST" project of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) held its last presentation tour in New York, bringing together Haitian entrepreneurs and investment professionals to catalyze private financing of small and medium-sized Haitian businesses. Despite the current economic and political situation, USAID Mission Director Gary Juste said, "The level of investment interest in Haiti that I have seen strengthens my confidence in the economic potential and the future growth of the country."

The State claims Sogener $123 million

103 Quebec MPs in solidarity with the Haitian people
103 deputies of the National Assembly of Quebec unanimously adopted a motion symbolizing their solidarity with the Haitian people. The Assembly says "recognize the worrying humanitarian situation caused by the major crisis that paralyzes its main institutions in Haiti for weeks [...]" These deputies want "the governments of Quebec and Canada, as well as the international community, to mobilize to support a peaceful and democratic way out of the crisis." A copy of this motion will be sent to President Jovenel Moïse, Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau and the Ambassador of Haiti to Canada.
