Me Newton St-Juste one of the lawyers engaged by the Government in the file of the recoveries of debts of the State https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-29135-haiti-energy-the-state-hires-several-cabinets-of-lawyers-to-defend-its-interests.html towards especially private companies of electricity, announces that actions will be taken against the Société Générale d'Énergie (SOGENER) directed by Jean Marie Vorbe, President Director General for the restitution of 123 million dollars, coming from overcharging for several years.

He explains that "[...] according to a report of the Senate, on 3 generators [3 power plants at Varreux] which the Sogener has, one of them does not work. The private company charged the State even for the generator that was not working [...]".

Me Newton St-Juste, who favors out-of-court settlements and payment arrangements, says that "[...] Sogener can challenge. But any dispute will lead us to court," threatening to seize other jurisdiction that the Criminal if the SOGENER refuses to pay suggesting that the company could then be accused of "fraud and breach of trust..."

It remains to know the version of SOGENER to try get objectively an opinion on this case...
