Haiti - FLASH : Increase of Minimum Wage, all the details
President Jovenel Moïse published in the official journal Le Moniteur - Spécial No 20, the decree fixing the new minimum wage from 1 November 2019.

Minimum wages, 2019 extracts from the Order :

Article 1 (Segment A) + 10%: 550 Gourdes (500 Gourdes in 2018)
Minimum wage fixed at 550 gourdes per day of 8 working hours in: private electricity production; financial institutions (banks, transfer houses, insurance companies); telecommunications; import-export trade; supermarkets; jewelery stores; Art Galeries ; furniture, furniture and appliance stores; doctor's office, polyclinics, hotel 4 hibiscus [...]

Article 2 (Segment B) + 10%: 440 Gourdes (400 Gdes in 2018)
Minimum wage fixed at 440 Gourdes per 8-hour working day in the following sectors: buildings and public works (BTP); rental of trucks and heavy machinery; rental of building materials; construction materials transport companies; hardware stores; other financial institutions (cooperatives, caisses populaires ..., hotel 3 hibiscus manufacturing industries turned to the local market [...]

Article 3 (Segment C) + 28.3%: 385 Gourdes (300 Gdes in 2018)
Minimum wage set at 385 Gourdes per 8-hour working day in: Restaurants; agriculture, forestry, livestock and fisheries; agricultural product processing industry; retail trade, except supermarkets, jewelery stores, cosmetics and clothing stores [...]

Article 4 (Segment E) + 16.3%: 250 Gourdes (215 Gdes in 2018)
Minimum wage set at 250 gourdes per day of 8 hours of work as domestic service personnel (housekeepers).

Article 5 (Segment F) + 19%: 500 Gourdes (420 Gdes in 2018)
Minimum wage of 500 gourdes per 8 hour working day in export-oriented assembly industries and other export-oriented manufacturing industries.

Article 6 (Segment G) + 10%: 440 Gourdes (400 Gdes in 2018)
Minimum wage of 440 gourdes per day of 8 hours of work in private security agencies and petroleum distribution companies.

Article 7 (Segment H): + 10% 440 Gourdes (400 Gdes in 2018)
Minimum wage of 440 gourdes per day of 8 hours of work in private vocational schools and private health institutions employing more than 10 persons and offering hospitalization services
