Haiti - Diplomacy : Incident involving the Consul of Santiago, the Chancery precise 09/12/2019 08:45:13
Recall that the vehicle in which Ms. Exavier was, who was unable to provide the vehicle's legal papers, was the subject of a search request from the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and that sources D-2 (intelligence service of the Dominican Ministry of Defense) would be registered in the name of Jose Bernabé Quintero, one of the alleged members of the money laundering network of assets of César Emilio Peralta Adamez nicknamed the "Dominican Pablo Escobar" https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-29458-haiti-flash-towards-a-new-scandal-in-haitian-diplomacy.html joint investigation by the Dominican and Haitian authorities is open on this vehicle... Note that the Haitian Chancellery asked Ms. Judith Exavier, Consul General of Haiti in Santiago, to remain in the Haitian territory, until the authorities of both countries clarify the status of the vehicle informing that the results of this investigation will be made public as soon as available. In addition, the Chancery confirms that the Embassy of Haiti in the Dominican Republic has been instructed to collaborate with the Dominican authorities to ensure that all light is shed, at the earliest, on this regrettable incident.
