Haiti - Crisis : The Government engages in the fight against hunger

On Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th December, the Economic and Social Assistance Fund (FAES) launched the suply operations of 101 community restaurants in the West department, with the aim of reducing food and nutritional insecurity of vulnerable populations in disadvantaged areas by offering them daily hot dishes at a ridiculous price.
The FAES team began distributing food products on Saturday at restaurants located on Route 9 in Cité Soleil. In this zone, the operations ended on the same day.
From December 12, the cap will be on the Northeast, North, Northwest and Artibonite departments. All these activities reflect President Moïse's desire to fight hunger and poverty through social programs.
In addition, Secretary of State for Communication Eddy J. Alexis announced Monday that convoys of food assistance have arrived in the departments of Nippes, Grande-Anse and South to support the most disadvantaged and that the other departments will be affected shortly ...
