The town hall of Tabarre and the Fund for Economic and Social Assistance (FAES) proceeded on December 20 to the reopening of the community restaurant of the Croix-des-Missions, in the presence in particular of Jean Sadrack, Deputy Director of the Direction of struggle against the poverty of FAES, Nice Simon the Mayor of Tabarre and several notable of the commune.

In her speech the Mayor Nice Simon declared that this community restaurant had nothing to envy to the other restaurants of the place, stressing that for a small sum the inhabitants of the Croix-des-Missions, Butte-boyer, Damien and its surroundings will have the possibility of having hot dishes every day.

She praised the support of FAES and asked the other institutions to accompany the town hall in order to facilitate the opening of other community restaurants for the benefit of vulnerable populations in her commune.

Jean Sadrack for his part, recalled that to date, more than 400 community restaurants were in operation in the country, with the aim of offering daily hot dishes at a ridiculous price to people on small budgets, emphasizing the will of the President Moïse to bring this number to 775. In addition, the day before the FAES within the framework of the Kantin Mobil" project proceeded to the FREE distribution, of thousands of hot meals to the inhabitants of this zone. On December 20, FAES went to the Champs de Mars area and to the premises of the West Departmental Directorate of the Haitian National Police where 3,000 hot meals were distributed to those who needed them. Note that dry rations were given to a thousand inhabitants of Girardeau, a locality in Pétion-ville and in Carrefour-feuilles (Port-au-Prince) through the execution of the "Panye Solidarite" project.
