Tuesday morning Rony Colin, the Mayor of Croix-des-Bouquets, accompanied by the deputy mayors, lawyer Gedine Cétoute and professor Jonas St-Juste, went to the Tozwn Hall to observe the damage caused to the building after the attack on Monday by armed individuals identified as members of the Gang "Bad Dogs" led by Adler Corrielus, aka "Bob Anel" https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-29935-haiti-flash-heavily-armed-individuals-attack-the-town-hall-of-croix-des-bouquets.html and talk with the staff.

According to the official version of the Town Hall of Croix-des-Bouquets "[...] The Office of Mayor Rony was particularly targeted. An employee of the Municipal Administration was hit by a projectile in his hand during the assault on these bandits who seem to have had a very precise and planned mission. They entered the town hall. With their firearms and stones, they shattered several windows of the building, terrorizing employees and taxpayers. The latter were stripped of their personal effects including : suitcases, wallets, telephones, among others. The thieves notably took away important documents, vandalized the Town Hall and stole a large sum of money from taxpayer contributions. After committing their crime, they chained and padlocked the barriers giving access to the building. When they left, they fired in all directions, ransomed passers-by, merchants and street vendors in the area. Which created a great panic. All these events took place in the total indifference and passivity of the police authorities."

The mayor and his assistants exchanged with the employees on the course of the events and expressed their solidarity with the employees and presented their sympathies to the employees and taxpayers victims. Elected officials paid tribute to the courage and professionalism of the staff who, despite the traumatic attack of the previous day, presented themselves at their post to ensure the normal functioning of all the services of the municipal administration.

Mayor Colin assured staff that measures will be taken to strengthen security at the Town Hall level and informed that he had asked the police and judicial authorities to assume their responsibilities and the Government Commissioner to the Court of First Instance of Croix-des-Bouquets, Me Maxime Augustin, to put public action in motion against the perpetrators and accomplices of this armed attack.
