China announced on Thursday 15,144 cases of additional contamination caused by the Coronavirus COVID-19, an increase of 13,079 cases and 253 deaths in 24 hours. This is the largest increase registred since the epidemic that started in December 2019.

The increases, according to the Central Hubei Province Health Commission, the epicenter of the epidemic, are due to the adoption of a broader definition of infection. Explaining that until now, only the laboratory confirmation (nucleic acid test) of the presence of the virus was taken into account, but now, are included the cases "clinically diagnosed", Chinese specialists estimating that a pulmonary radio on suspect cases could now be considered sufficient to diagnose the presence of the virus. The authorities justify this new method by their "better knowledge" of the disease and its symptoms.

However, the Chinese medical authorities provide no explanation for the jump in deaths +253 on Thursday (+ 20%) against +90 on Wednesday, or on that of healings +22.9%... which have nothing to do with an extended definition cases of infection...

These new figures fuel speculation that the severity of the epidemic may have been underestimated by the World Health Organization (WHO).

Thursday, February 13, 2020, the number of people infected worldwide (laboratory confirmed cases) rose to 60.347, an increase of 15.144 cases (13.079 cases more than the previous day); 1,369 deaths (+ 20.8%) or 253 more than the day before (1,116) and 6,122 people healed or 1,139 people (+ 22.9%) more than the day before (4,983) and 4.5 times more healing than deaths compared to 3.8 times the day before. To date, there have been 525 infected people outside of China, 7 more than the day before (laboratory-confirmed cases) including 2 deaths 1 in the Philippines and 1 in Hong Kong.
