Haiti - U-20 World Cup : Our Grenadières qualified for the 8th finals

Tuesday, February 25, for their second match in the last qualifying round of the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup (Costa Rica / Panama 2020), our Grenadières on the lawn of the Panamericano de San Cristobal stadium in the Dominican Republic, after their victory Sunday against the Cayman Islands [8-0] https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-30106-icihaiti-u-20w-world-cup-our-grenadieres-humiliate-the-cayman-islands-%5b8-0%5d.html renewed the feat by crushing the Saint-Kitts & Nevis team [7-0], qualifying for the 8th finals.

In the first period, Melchie Daëlle Dumornay alias "Coventina", Captain of the national team, opened the scoring to the 22’ in favor of Haiti. [1-0]. Dayana Louis Pierre scored the second goal for Haiti at 32' [2-0] followed a few minutes later in 36' with a goal by Abaina Louis [3-0]. Dayana Louis Pierre scored twice in the first period at 40’ [4-0] followed 1 minute later by a goal from Mirlene Dorce 41’ [5-0] at half time.

Returning from the locker room in the second period, from the outset at 46' Abaina Louis scored his double in this match [6-0] and it was at 55' Rose-ayla Marcellus who replaced Mirlene Dorce who scored a goal extra (his first on the national team) [7-0]. Score unchanged after regular time.

A match that allowed our Grenadières to qualify for the 8th finals.

2nd Trinidad & Tobago 6 pts + 8 goals

3rd Cayman Islands 0 points -10 goals

4th St. Kitts & Nevis 0 points - 13 goals
